Notice of Race AASW 2012 in short.

Agenda:
Beginning on Sunday, 13 May 2012 with the Izola Cup –one day regatta, internationally open for all mono-hull-keel-yachts of 7 metres. Afterwards award ceremony and at 19.00 o`clock official opening of the AASW 2012 in the regatta tent. There are 6 races scheduled between Monday and Thursday. Award ceremony with gala dinner on Thursday 17 May 2012 at 19.00 o`clock in the regatta tent.
The classes:
One design class with spinnaker –Elan 340, in competition “23rd AUSTRIA CUP”, open for all YCA-countries`crews and ÖSV clubs.
Open class with spinnaker – for mono-hull-yachts with rolling genoa and spinnaker or gennaker over 7 metres taking part in “Alpe Adria Cup”.
Open class with spinnaker – for mono-hull-yachts with rolling genoa and spinnaker or gennaker over 7 metres, 50% of the crew including skipper must be residents in Carinthia in the competition “Kärntner Cruising Trophy”.
Open class with spinnaker – Racing Class – for mono-hull-yachts with spinnaker or gennaker over 7 metres in the competition “Alpe Adria Racing Cup”.
Open class without spinnaker – for mono-hull-yachts with rolling genoa without side-sail over 7 metres in the competition “Alpe Adria Cruising Cup”. (for at least 5 yachts).
Area:
Maritime area offshore Izola – Portoroz – Koper – Grado. Harbour of departure: Marina Izola/Slovenia.
Races, routes:
For all classes there are scheduled one “long race”, one “navigation race”, two “triangles” and two “Up and Down”-races. From four races onward one result (triangle or Up-and-Down”) will be neglected.
Regulations, evaluation:
WRS of the ISAF in the current version; “Sailing instructions” and advertising. ORC measuring certificate 2012 is required, but not for the one design class!
Prizes:
The “Austria Cup”, the “Alpe Adria Cup” and the “Kärntner Cruising Trophy” are awarded as Challenge Trophies. There are prizes for all classes and groups for the grades one to three. There is a “Blue Ribbon” provided for the fastest yacht according to its sailing time.

Included in the nomination fee:
Preliminary activities and organisation. Technical equipment, registration, anchorage fees, complete racing administration, evaluation and printing of day and total results, daily OCEAN7-Newsletter, professional photos for the daily slide-show.
Catering:
Four breakfast buffets; four dinners beginning with the Carinthian Evening on Sunday with delicacies and cider from Carinthia, one Italian Evening with freshly made pizzas and free beer on Monday, a warm buffet on Tuesday and a gala dinner on Thursday. Wednesday is free.
Social activites:
Daily award ceremony and slide show with the newest photos and music (except Wednesday), lottery, social life and live music as a musical highlight of the final ceremony on Thursday.
